The history of Alpe Magna begins in 1953, when Mario Simonetto, after a long butcher’s apprenticeship in numerous shops, opens his first butcher’s shop in Castelnuovo in Trentino. After decades of intense work, the structure expands with the construction of a laboratory to produce typical meats and a new department for the preparation of gastronomic excellences. In a short time, the experience and passion handed down make Simonetto Carni a distinctive quality brand. In 2014 the business was recognized by the region as historical traditional shop as evidence of the company’s great socio-cultural value.
A few years later, with Andrea and Davide, a new great adventure was born: that of Alpe Magna.
A NEW GRAT ADVENTURE: ALPE MAGNA
Alpe Magna – High altitude goodness, is the new collection of sauces and ragù from Trentino and the Italian culinary tradition. The idea was born from the desire to enclose all the gastronomic knowledge gathered in more than 65 years of history in comfortable and elegant jars, interpreting the typical Trentino and Italian recipes in a modern way.
Thanks to the experience of the Simonetto family in choosing the best raw materials, Alpe Magna brings to the table every day the Trentino and Italian excellences of taste that have all the flavor of the good things of the past, made as they once were, with the help of most advanced processing techniques.
1. TRADITION AND INNOVATION
The Alpe Magna recipes are simple and traditional: we use noble and genuine ingredients to guarantee a taste experience typical of tradition. Technology makes possible to combine the beauty of the packaging with the preservation of the goodness of authentic flavors over time.
The careful selection of raw materials and the subsequent preparation of the recipes by hand are crucial moments for achieving a high quality product: time is the basis of an artisanal handmade product.
The encounter between tradition and technology guarantees our preparations a perfect shelf life, without preservatives, acidifiers and ingredients in general that modify the typical characteristics of the recipes.
In the Alpe Magna laboratory, under the slopes of the Lagorai, in the heart of the Dolomites, sauces and ragù are cooked revisiting the ancient recipes of Trentino. The preparation of our specialties takes place slowly, with selected ingredients and fresh vegetables processed strictly by hand, to ensure the goodness of the products. Alpe Magna sauces and condiments are also prepared without the addition of preservatives or additives.
